Planting instructions for:

Aeonium arboreum - 17cm

Can be grown either in the ground or in containers. If growing in a container, use one with drainage holes that is at least 8 inches (20 cm) in diameter. prefers an organically rich, well-draining soil. Alternatively, you can produce your own cactus or succulent soil by combining equal parts sand, perlite, and peat moss. Make a small hole in the center of the prepared soil before adding it to the container. Put the plant in the hole and add soil to the roots. Firm up the soil surrounding the plant by lightly pressing down on it.

Care instructions

Watering

Is a drought-tolerant plant and should be watered sparingly. Allow the soil to dry out completely between watering, and be careful not to water the leaves or stem directly, as this can lead to rot.

A well-draining soil mix is essential. Use a cactus or succulent soil mix, or amend regular potting soil with sand or perlite to improve drainage.

Prefers bright, indirect sunlight. It can tolerate some direct sunlight, but too much can scorch the leaves.

Can be pruned to encourage bushier growth or to remove dead or damaged leaves. Use clean, sharp pruning shears to make cuts just above a leaf node.

Does not require frequent fertilization, but you can feed it once a month during the growing season with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half strength.

Mealybugs, spider mites, and scale insects are typical, to get rid of bugs, you can spray the plant with neem oil. Avoid over watering and make sure the plant has proper air circulation to avoid fungus-related illnesses.
