Planting instructions for:

Aeonium haworthii Dream Colour

Choose a well-draining pot or planting area that receives bright, indirect sunlight or partial shade. Fill the container with a well-draining potting mix formulated for succulents. Gently remove the plant from its nursery container, being careful not to damage the delicate roots. Create a small hole in the potting mix and place the plant in it, ensuring the base of the rosette is level with the soil surface. Lightly pack the soil around the roots, avoiding excessive compaction. Water the plant thoroughly and then allow the soil to dry out completely before watering again. Provide occasional deep watering, ensuring the excess water drains out to prevent root rot. Place the plant in a location with temperatures between 60-80°F (15-27°C) and protect it from frost. Aeonium haworthii 'Dream Colour' prefers moderate humidity levels and benefits from occasional misting. With proper care, this eye-catching succulent will thrive and display its beautiful multicolored foliage.

Care instructions

Watering

Is a drought-tolerant plant and should be watered sparingly. Allow the soil to dry out completely between watering, do not water the leaves or stem directly, as this can lead to rot. During the growing season, water once a week.

Soil

A well-draining soil mix is essential for Aeonium haworthii. Use a cactus or succulent soil mix, or amend regular potting soil with sand or perlite to improve drainage.

Sunlight

Prefers bright, indirect sunlight. It can tolerate some direct sunlight, but too much can scorch the leaves. In areas with intense sunlight, it may benefit from some shade during the hottest parts of the day.

Prunning

Can be pruned to encourage bushier growth or to remove dead or damaged leaves. Use clean, sharp pruning shears to make cuts just above a leaf node.

Fertilser

Does not require frequent fertilization, but you can feed it once a month during the growing season with a balanced, water-soluble fertilizer diluted to half strength.

Pests & Disease

This plant can be affected by mealybugs, scale insects, and spider mites, which can be treated with insecticidal soap or neem oil. Leaf spot and powdery mildew are fungal diseases that can be treated with a fungicide. Inspect regularly and address any pest or disease issues promptly to prevent further damage.
