Planting instructions for:

Antirrhinum pink

Choose a location that receives full sun to partial shade. Prepare the soil by loosening it and removing any weeds or debris. Ensure the soil is well-draining and enriched with organic matter. Dig a hole slightly larger than the root ball of the plant. Place the Antirrhinum seedling or transplant in the hole, making sure it is at the same level as the surrounding soil. Back fill the hole and gently firm the soil around the plant. Water thoroughly after planting to settle the soil. Maintain consistent soil moisture, watering when the top inch of soil feels dry. Deadhead the faded flowers to encourage continuous blooming. Antirrhinum pink thrives in mild to cool temperatures, so provide adequate air circulation and avoid high heat stress. Monitor for common pests like aphids or rust disease, and treat as necessary using appropriate organic or chemical controls. With proper care, your Antirrhinum pink plants will reward you with beautiful spikes of pink blooms throughout the growing season.

Care instructions

Watering

Antirrhinum pink plants require regular watering, especially during dry periods. Water deeply, ensuring the soil is evenly moist but not waterlogged. Check the moisture level by inserting your finger into the soil. If the top inch feels dry, it's time to water. Avoid over watering, as it can lead to root rot. Allow the soil to dry slightly between watering.

Soil

Antirrhinum pink prefers well-draining soil that is fertile and rich in organic matter. Prepare the soil by incorporating compost or well-rotted manure before planting. The soil pH should be slightly acidic to neutral (pH 6.0-7.0).

Sunlight

Antirrhinum pink thrives in full sun to partial shade. Ideally, provide the plant with at least six hours of direct sunlight daily. In hotter regions, afternoon shade can help protect the plants from excessive heat stress.

Prunning

Deadhead the faded flowers regularly to encourage continuous blooming and prevent seed formation. Trim back any leggy or straggly growth to maintain a compact and tidy appearance. Prune damaged or diseased foliage or stems as soon as you notice them to maintain plant health.

Fertilser

Apply a balanced, slow-release fertilizer at planting time to provide essential nutrients. Alternatively, you can use a water-soluble fertilizer diluted according to the package instructions. Fertilize every four to six weeks during the growing season to promote healthy growth and abundant blooms.

Pests & Disease

Monitor the plants regularly for common pests such as aphids, spider mites, or snails. Use appropriate organic or chemical controls to manage pest infestations if necessary. Watch out for diseases like powdery mildew or rust. Ensure good air circulation around the plants and avoid overhead watering to minimize the risk of fungal infections.
