Planting instructions for:

Crassula ericoides

To plant Crassula ericoides, choose a well-draining succulent or cactus potting mix and a suitable container with drainage holes. Prepare the soil by loosening it and creating a small hole for the plant. Gently remove the plant from its nursery pot, being careful not to damage the roots, and place it in the hole, ensuring it is at the same level as it was in the previous container. Backfill the hole with soil, lightly firming it around the base of the plant. Water the newly planted Crassula ericoides thoroughly and then allow the soil to dry out before watering again. Place the plant in a bright location with indirect sunlight, protecting it from intense, direct sun. Monitor the plant for pests and diseases, and prune as needed to maintain its appearance. With proper care, Crassula ericoides will establish well and bring beauty to your indoor or outdoor succulent garden.

Care instructions

Watering

Allow the soil to dry out between waterings and then thoroughly water the plant. Avoid overwatering, as succulents are prone to root rot.

Soil

Plant Crassula ericoides in a well-draining succulent or cactus potting mix. This type of soil helps prevent waterlogging and allows for proper root aeration.

Sunlight

Place the plant in a location with bright, indirect sunlight. Crassula ericoides thrives in full sun to partial shade conditions. Protect the plant from intense, direct sunlight, especially during the hottest parts of the day.

Prunning

Pruning is generally not necessary for Crassula ericoides. However, you can remove any dead or withered leaves to maintain a tidy appearance.

Fertilser

Feed the plant with a balanced, diluted succulent fertilizer during the growing season. Follow the package instructions for application rates and frequency.

Pests & Disease

Monitor the plant for common succulent pests such as mealybugs or spider mites. If infestations occur, treat with appropriate organic or chemical insecticides. Ensure good air circulation around the plant to prevent fungal diseases.
